The Illinois RipChords

About Us

The Illinois Rip Chords are an all female a cappella group from the University of illinois in Urbana Champaign. We were founded in 1992, and can be seen performing at shows across campus and the midwest. We compete in the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella annually and have advanced to the semi finals multiple times in the past decade. With our edgy pop sound, kickin' choreo, and unyielding love for music, performing, and each other, this group of young women is sure to entertain any audience!
